Lifestyle

Early To Bed & Early To Rise: try to have 8 hrs of sleep during the night. Avoid staying up late at night. Go to bed between 9:30-10:00 pm and wake up between 5:30-6:00 am. Eat dinner 2-3 hrs before going to bed. Avoid daytime naps. Avoid physical or mental overexertion or overwork. Avoid prolonged exposure to heat and sun, especially during summer months.

Water Intake

Drink two full glasses of water (at room temperature) after waking up. Try to have complete bowel evacuation every morning. Increase your daily intake of water (without ice) and try to drink 2 liters (0.5 gallons) during the day. Use filtered water or bottled water.

Yoga and Pranayama

Practice 2-4 rounds of Surya Namaskar (Sun salutation) in the morning along with Kapalbhati and Nadi Shodhan Pranayama. Join a Yoga class and research them online. Other useful poses for you are: Bhujangasana, Shavasana, Vajrasana, Sarvangasana, Halasana, and Yoga Nidra. Practice Vajrasana for 10 min after meals. Slow relaxed walking is very good, especially after meals. Once a week practice Neti.
